Sindhudurg fort stands on a rocky island, Kurte, about 2kms from the Malvan bus depot. The fort built in 1664-67 AD by Shivaji is one of the best preserved forts of the Marathas. The 48 acre Sindhudurg fort with 42 bastions and a rampart 4 kms long is an amazing place to explore.
